SECTION 5.0: GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK: DON’T BUY!

AVOID THE TRAPS BEFORE THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS!

You will be better off if you NEVER have to start down this path to begin with.

You are absolutely likely to have a good time if you stay at any of the Bahia Principe resorts. They have a long-standing reputation for quality and a great return for their rates. Their newer resorts continuously improve on the quality of the older ones, and the top management are the daughters of the founder, who are just now modernizing the hotels to an updated vision of what hospitality can be.

You are there for that -- the hotel experience.

Try then, HARD as you can, to avoid ANY contact with ANYONE from the Privilege Club, as soon as they may start the process of reeling you in for their sales presentation.

All around the Bahia Principe resorts you will have Privilege Club staff members spread out with the sole purpose of making you visit their sales room.

This is their Marketing team. Their job is to get you started in the chain of lies and liars until you are hooked in a contract.

These Marketing representatives are paid as soon as you step inside the room -- not by you signing up. This means they can, and will say ANYTHING in order to get you inside the Sales Room. They do not care not face any consequence in how they got you there. Their money is secure as soon as you walk in, regardless of how true or how much of a lie they told you.

You may or may not realize you are speaking to their staff at first. The most obvious ones will be around the Reception area, with large promotional banners, offering you gifts and potential prizes if you agree to a no-obligation, one-hour only sales presentation.

They will be dressed somewhat similarly to the Bahia Principe regular staff, they will be VERY friendly, and present you with any and every topic of conversation conceivable, in order to keep you around, and keep poking at you, to find a way to convince you. These representatives will likely present you with gifts, which may range from cheap rum bottles to helicopter rides, if you just sit for the one-hour presentation, under no obligation to buy.

Realize one thing: this promotional gift is REAL. But that does NOT change that while inside the sales room, they will use your better nature against YOURSELF. This gift price is also factored in into whatever you buy, and costs them a minuscule part of the package they will sell you. If you sign up, you are gifting yourself anything they give you.

The ONE thing advised here is, once again, to IGNORE any staff of the Privilege Club, RUDELY if you must, and simply carry on with your hard-earned vacation. Ignore their gifts, offers, and although this might go against your friendly, polite nature, FORCIBLY MOVE AWAY FROM THEM if approached.

Then, there’s the less obvious Marketing gurus, and their less obvious ways to get you into the Sales Room.

At any point during your vacation, but most likely while you are on the pool or the beach, you will be approached by a friendly Representative, who may or may not be wearing any uniform of the Privilege Club. These people have EVEN LESS of a care about the truth -- they will go to any length in order to get you inside the Sales Room.

A typical recourse is appealing to your better nature, as has been warned before -- if you reject any of the gifts, insist you are not interested, and even if you rudely ask them to leave, they will come up with a sick son or daughter, or an elderly mother or father, even produce a picture of them, and in a theatrical display worthy of the best Broadway shows, beg for you to go into the Sales Room so they can make the commission that will allow them to buy medicine for their sick relative.

THIS IS ABSOLUTE THEATRE. There is no sick relative, and you are placing yourselves under risk of going down a path of many months fighting a system designed to separate you from your money for almost nothing of value in return.

IGNORE, REJECT, TURN DOWN and otherwise YELL IF YOU HAVE TO to get them away from you. Remember security is always nearby, and even if they are somewhat of colleagues, your wish to enjoy your vacation in peace supersedes ANYTHING else these Marketing people may want. The security staff CAN AND WILL remove them from around you if you ask them to.

If you read this BEFORE traveling, or BEFORE stepping into a salesroom, and if you plan on avoiding this people like the plague, congratulations -- you just avoided a nightmare and saved yourselves several thousands of dollars. This guide is now, in terms of ROI, perhaps your life’s greatest investment. You are welcome.
