SECTION 5.5: TIME TO GET DIGITALLY NOISY
Tried all of the above, and no results yet? Chin up, we still have options… maybe the best ones.
The ONE thing Privilege Club hates more than giving money back is bad publicity.
They have lost countless sales because someone signed up in their internet-blocked sales rooms, returned to their rooms, looked up the Privilege Club to find out more after signing up, and were horrified at the thousands of negative comments and people who considered the program nothing but spam.
Our reports indicate they are actively looking to play the search engine ranking to bury these negative comments. DON’T LET IT HAPPEN.
The websites they hate the most, because of the impact to their reputation, are the following:
- BBB websites
- Trip Advisor
If you speak Spanish:
- Tuquejasuma
Whichever website/platform you use, try to do the following:
1.Be SPECIFIC about your complaints -- who lied to you, type of lies, efforts you went through to get your money
2.REPEAT your complaint online as often as necessary, DAILY if you must, either repeat it just like the first time, or place any updates, clearly indicating that NO REFUND HAS TAKEN PLACE YET
3.Try to post it in GROUPS and also to include hashtags or the official accounts of either Privilege Club or even better Bahia Principe (remember, these are separate companies, you must address them separately if you want them to be aware of your issues).
4.IN ALL CAPS, loudly WARN other people to NOT JOIN and encourage them to demand their money back NOW. Even better for everyone -- recommend them this book! No other tool will put them closer to their money.
This might seem like a chore, but trust me please -- these people HATE the bad press. Many other soured Club members have warned them to go to the news or to talk to their political representatives, but I have never seen it come to fruition in my research, and I personally don’t think it is either newsworthy (many scams exist out there) nor worthy of your representative’s time.
But hey -- if you have the connections, do it. One big name asking to look into this is all that it takes, and if you are American or Canadian, there may be hundreds if not thousands of other Members affected in your state or province.
You should POST YOUR COMPLAINT so it remains online and warns others not to repeat your mistake. It HURTS the Club’s bottom line, as much as their crap of a program hurt yours.
Make sure to also complaint to BAHIA PRINCIPE, the hotel company, so it drives heat and attention to Privilege Club. We see this usually WILL mean a faster reply from Privilege Club, although not necessarily a refund decision.
We will tell you exactly who to contact…
